Question about 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
My Service Engine Soon light came on as I lost power driving the other day. I had the vehicle towed home and have been trying to figure it out since. I am getting a p0340 error (camshaft position sensor). However, I can't locate the sensor and when the person at the autoparts store looked it up he said the 2000 pathy doesn't have one. I am at a total loss here. Last week I put in a new distributor, water pump and timing belt- drove it 500 mi from NC to TN with no problems.

SOURCE: where crank shaft and camshaft?
Hi I have a 2002 altima and I just fixed all that stuff. The crankshaft sensor is a different sensor and located in a different place. The crankshaft pos. sensor is located in back of the motor next to the firewall maybe half way down toward the driver side. there was a few tricks to getting to it and replacing it that no one mentioned it but I got it down. I replaced it 3 or for times till I got the right one so I was able to do the whole thing in about 15 min at the end. if you still need help email me, its kinda easy once you know what youre looking for!
