93 5,8l. Ford F150xlt throttle cuts out while driving, realese petal and works again.? New f filter and plugs wires

I had a very similar problem. Mine was caused by a weak in tank fuel pump. As long as I wasn't asking for too much fuel, it ran fine, but the moment I put my foot into, it would cough and sputter and try to die. But once I pulled my foot off the accelerator It would either cut off completely or idle and run fine, until I again would try to make it over the hill into Hillsboro. Hope this has helped you

Gas petal not working

The linkage spring must be broken or the cable to the throttle body has broken. Check for broken cable at pedal end and throttle plate.

When pressing the gas on my 2001 cavalier and hold the gas petal like half way it goes to sputtering whats the cause of that?

Try replacing the fuel filter, its possible your fuel pump is going out. I would try replacing the fuel filter first, it is a pretty easy process. The filter is located right underneath the car by the drivers door, i have included a diagram also. I hope this helps.

Car will not go when i press on the petal ..only go slow ..real idle speed

The throttle module is the culprit. The car is in the "Limping" mode. Either the module can be reset or need to be replaced. Only Authorised Volvo workshop can do it.

My 2002 chevy prizm is missing. i accelerate and

check for a vacuum leak as the hoses can and will crack. this will cause a rich fuel mixture and the ECM will compensate by leaning out the fuel causing sputtering under load.

1995 Honda Accord stalls when you do not press the gas petal

Sound like a clogged or defective IAC. (Idle Air Control) It's usually part of the throttle body assembly. It can be removed and the passage ways cleaned out with old fashion carburetor spray cleaner. If that doesn't help you may try replacing the IAC to see if that solves the problem.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalls when brakes are applied

My 2000 Grand Cherokee had the same problem, without all the sputtering, it would just die approaching a stop. We could only keep it running by slightly pushing down on the gas petal when coming to a stop. I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor, but that didn't change anything. A new mechanic I found replaced the Idle Air Control Valve, and we've had no problems in a week.
