SOURCE: HOT & COLD ELECTRIC VENTS NOT MOVING.

Blend door actuator. When it fails for some reason it turns to the hot side and gets stuck. Dash must come out. I usually do it in 3 hours, because I've done it numerous times.

A friend replaced my Heater Core for me and it still does Not blow Hot Air ...can you give me some trouble shooting ideas to check ?

Does the heater blower motor work? That is what blows cool air across and around the heater core and then through the case and out the vents as warm air blowing. The heater motor wiring circuit is separate, and gets pretty complicated with electronic HVAC controls, but it does have fuses.
If the blower motor works but you only get cold air, not warm, out the vents, then you have a problem with the heater case doors not operating properly. yes, the old temperature blend door problem, the actuator motors or the vacuum servos not operating the doors. By the time you get all that figured out and working again, you will be an HVAC expert in your own right. Your turn for a comment...what model and year of car anyway, are we talking about?

99 pontiac grand am warms up but wont blow air through vents

You would need to figure out if the blower motor is operating at peak efficiency - if it is running fast on the high setting. If it is, the problem could be a blend door under the dash, or something else blocking air flow. If its not running fast, it could be the motor or a wiring problem. The resistor only cuts down current for the lower speeds.

How can i fix the heat to blow hot air in my 1996 ford econoline250 cargo van

so either the blower motor isn't blowing or its just blowing cold air-always start with fuses-then check for 12v at the blower motor-use a volt ohm meter- if you have 12v then the blower motor is bad-if there is no warm air blowing out-look for the water valve that lets the hot water into the heater core-its on the small hose going back to the heater core-make sure its operating-cheers Denny

I have a '03 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport AWD that the heater only blow hot air when going down the road. Van has a new radiator and new thermostat. Sometimes the blower will not kick on for a few

If the problem is a lack of air flow from the vents, and you suspect the blower motor is not running at times, you would need to test the blower relay and blower motor for power and ground when it is not working.

No air blowing out of vent

The thermostat only controls how hot the engine gets.
It could be the blower motor, or a blend door under the dash.
You would need to check the blower motor for power and ground, if it is running a door may be stuck closed.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and vents.

Turn on car and no air is coming out of the vents hot or cold; can here the compressor coming on but not air recieved.

Sir: It sounds like the blower motor is not working. If all fuses are good for the HVAC (Heater Air Conditioning) system then it could be an inoporative blower motor or a blower motor module, you can ddo this by using hot wires to see if blower motors (one hot wire 12V) (and one negative) ground wire. If motor runs, the module may be bad provided all electrical connectors are tight

2004 Chevy Trailblazer, At first you could only get the air conditioning to switch on by turnning the vehicle off and switching over to AC. Now the AC will not come on and it is always blowing hot air out...

Could be your main blower motor resistor, mine would still run the fan even after shutting off the vehicle.(safari van) Had to unplug the resistor to stop the fan,it was near the blower under the hood. Bought a new one for about $45 bucks. Replaced it and all is fine. Might want to check relays first, sometimes they stick and need replacing.
Good luck.

Started out with cold air coming out the vents

I'm no 'expert' but it sounds like possibly 2 different problems. Your heat comes from warm/hot coolant circulating through the heater core, and the fan blowing air through/over it. If your thermostat is not opening the coolant won't circulate. Thermostat is a not too difficult or costly starting place. No air flow leads me to think you have a blower motor issue, perhaps start with the fuse. Hope this helps.
