My auxiliary makes a whining noise on the radio on my 08 Jeep Liberty.Any ideas?

auxiliary now that really begs, a real NOUN.
really all things attached to and engine could be called auxiliary.
P./S
AC
ALT
idler there.
I guess he means the ALternator
and all ALT's do that,it's a 3phase alternator, with diodes that rectify these pulsed to pulsating DC, (noise)
the battery sucks up most this noise.. fact.

if one diode in the Alt SHORTS,OR OPENS,then NOISE GOES BALLISTIC,
I'm a radio man ( MIL and others)
car radio
ham radio
cb radio.
as you rac the engine ,the noises , a whine increases in tone.
tell you its ALT.
if ALT is OK on a SCOPE
then we add high pass filter to the radio power lead.

there are 2 paths here
power (conducted path)
and antenna (radiated path)

My 2002 Jeep Liberty is making strange noise from the middle of the engine (by where the belts are). I just had my Alternator and all the belts changed. She's not over heating and other than the loud...

steam is never normal. sorry !
use a $5 stethoscope and find object that make said noise.
or get it serviced,

i cant guess reality, not ever, that be god like.
but if you can get it to a shop and not overheat the engine
it may be ok.
but noises , can be very very serious.

the engine,.
the accessory parts can all make noise,
what makes noise is key here, and no net bunny on earth can guess it. it must be found. by a live human.

Ticking noise from back of 2002 Jeep Liberty

ticking noise

all noise is a 100% hands on deal.
no net bunny can do this. we can tell you to listen here and there
or use an electronic stethoscope, but in the end, its all 100% hands on.

if it makes noise in PARK , that is easy.
any mech. can find that. moving is 10x harder, and dangerous to find noises.

The jeep is turning over, just not cranking. Could that be a spark plug issue?

pull you plug wires 1 at a time while someone cranks the engine. hold the wire close to the engine. you should see some spark from the boot. if all plugs DONT have a spark, then the ECM is bad. if all DO have a spark, then listen for the fuel pump powering up,this will make a whirring sound from the back of the vehicle for about 3 secs. if you dont hear this sould, then the fuel pump is bad.

2002 Jeep Liberty: Battery cable loose wire was

first, though you mentioned no oil leaking, is there oil in the engine?
Next, if engine runs well and is not ticking or tapping, have the codes checked...most larger parts stores do this free. Once you have the stored codes you can look up what system is malfunctioning.
If engine is making any noise at all or there is no oil in it, DO NOT START OR DRIVE IT...make sure whoever did the oil change knows about this now...If someone forgot to put oil in, they may be buying you a new engine!
At this point it may be something simple but can also be very serious.(hope not)
good luck
