I need to bypass neutral safety switch 2001 intrepid 2.7 have no choice no option to replace part need it because transmission will not come out of park

You can do an internet search for the wiring diagram.
In the mean time, you should be able to shift out of park by turning the key to unlock bot not to the on position. Then try cranking the engine in neutral.
Make sure the parking brake is on to keep the car from rolling.

Get a wiring diagram, possibly online, and trace the neutral position switch and cable. My guess is there is something loose or needs some TLC.

No crank no start replace d starter and still same check relay its fine and have power to the starter

Check the neutral safety switch. Try jiggling the shifter or starting in neutral.

I don't know the make or model, but you can find a wiring diagram for the starting system online. There are ways to bypass the neutral safety switch to be sure it's the problem, but be careful if you do. The car can jump or even start in gear. Keep your foot on the brake when trying to start.

Also check if you have a security system and reset or bypass.

2000 plymouth neon p1899

According to my source, code 1899 is a problem with the governor pressure sensor. But 4 digit codes are model specific, so you may be right about the selector switch.
If the switch tests out to be faulty, it would need to be replaced and the code erased.

if your starting the car,by only jumping a wire at the neutral switch, then you more than likely have a bad neutral safety switch that needs to be replaced.

Diagram on how to fix neutral safty switch for 1991 lincoln towncar

I have to ask what happened? Did you have the tranny out? Hit a raccoon? Don't matter, i don't have a diagram, although I'm sure you could find one, even on Youtube you might find what I'm going to tell you, most Fords have a hole in the switch for alignment of the neutral, I think it is a 3/16 drill bit will fit the hole, and when you loosen up the 2 bolts, turn the unit till the drill bit falls in back wards, tighten it up, you should be in neutral. If it doesn't have the pin hole, just loosen up the bolts, turn the unit ever so slightly, either way while someone clicks the key, keep it in park, you will find it eventually, it is very sensitive. The neutral safety switch is located on the left side where the shifter goes into the tranny. It has 2 bolts on it, should not have to come off. Hope this helps.

If you go to your library you can look for free. Just not sure of location of of neutral safety switch for your year of car. In the back of motor manual is wire diagrams you will find switch there. Also GEO Prism is the same car.
  2. The last time I worked on a Prism it was a 1997 I found a bad wire connection at the shifter. Took 20 minutes to do repair and no parts.
  3. So I would check the switch in your console. Sometime they stick or a wire comes loose. Sometimes a little WD-40 shot to the switch helps.
