SOURCE: 2007 gmc sierra 2500 IAT sensor

Well, the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is located on the air intake duct between the filter and the throttle body (Assuming you have the 6L motor). The wires are easily visible at the plug that connects the sensor to the wiring harness. That's the easiest place to access them.

SOURCE: 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 - heater blows, but only cold air

Check coolant level. Check for heat at the heater hose going from water pump to heater core at firewall. Check to see that cable is moving coolant control valve from the closed to open position. Low mileage so it shouldn't be plugged heater core.

Testimonial: "You were absolutely correct. Low coolant level. Put in some 50/50 and we're nice and toasty now, but need to find out why coolant was so low. Thanks."

SOURCE: 2003 gmc sierra temp gauge needle stuck in 5 o

Bad IPC.......If u can round up a tech 2 scanner, do a guage sweep and i bet u will see the temp guage will not operate correctly......a new IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) is really the only fix. Once installed it has to be programmed. If u need any help send me a return message.

05 Sierra 4x4 wont shift into OD until it has warmed up for a while, this only happens when there are sub freezing temps, is this a problem, and if so what should i do??

This is normal on newer vehicles. The transmission temperature is monitored and overdrive is held off until the transmission is up to temp. Nothing unusual or wrong with this. My Tundra does the same thing. The trans temp gauge gets to about the 1/4 mark before the overdrive kicks in.
