On some vehicles,it says to drive it 3 drive cycles and light will go out,or you may need a scan tool to remove, would help if you would let us know what model, make year and engine size you have, most vehicles have a different way to remove code, you owners manual will or you can google it and you will find out.

1993 pontiac firebird 5.7 liter I just replaced both rear shocks because it would bottom out if I pulled out to fast or hit bumps. It did help it a little but it is still bottoming out. My question is...

no --it is bottoming out because the travel in the shocks is not correct for the vehicle ride height. The springs may be weak and need replacing. if you have altered the ride height at all then there will be problems bottoming out .

Have a 1989 Chevy blazer 6 in lift. 3 in body 3 in suspension Wat would I all need to make it ride better mybe daul shocks....

Lower it. When you alter a vehicle suspension system, you will always have a compromise. To get the ride you want, you should maybe get some custom shocks, that way you will be able to get the ride as close to your needs as possible.

Service ride control chevrolet

Hi there:
You will need to have the system scanned for codes. Each shock has a sensor there is a ride height sensor as well. The computer will give a code which will show what is the cause. use a scan tool to access the suspension module to get trouble codes.

The service ride control is related to the level control air shocks in the rear of the vehicle. A scan tool pulling fault codes would help isolate the cause. It is almost always the exhaust solenoid in the pump assembly but it can be other issues. We would need to know a fault code to go further. I suggest to check this TSB from GM in THIS LINK

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

I need to find a transmission for my 1999 ford windstar mini van but I don't know what size I need. I want to find a cheap used one. My vin is 2fmza5142xbc10977. Would it be F88P-BA or XF2P-BA ?

How would a used unit help you ?

It may be worse than yours

You always rebuilt yours or install
a reman ,never used, waste of time

I would get ride of it, and stay away from
any van type vehicles,the transaxles
do not last

What does it mean to service ride control?

When this occurs you have an problem with your ride control. You need to replace your front struts on your car. Also it can be that your vehicle may have an problem with your air shocks located in the rear of the vehicle.Sometimes, these vehicles are prone to have an slow leak out of the rear air shocks that as an result cause the service ride control warning to accumulate.

Service ride and service stability what does that mean?

this means that you have a fault with your stability control system. the stability control is designed to prevent a rollover it detects body roll when you are driving the ride control is the air suspension sytem this keeps ride hieght the same based on how wieght is in the vehicle. check the links that connect the switches to the suspension you may have one dissconnected (these links wear out over time you night have to replace them) there is one on each wheel postion if you need anything else let me know

Rims

You can, With Low Profile Tires But, Be aware, It will Considerably Effect the Ride of the Vehicle. Some become a Lot Harder to Steer. It is a Personal Choice But, I Prefer the Factory Size with Really Nice Rims to Keep the Ride and Handling that it had as New. Please Rate my Solution, I need all the Help that I can Get! Thanks!
