Question about 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander
The clip broke on my fuel door & I ordered a new part but am having trouble installing it. Not sure if there's another part I'm missing.

In the center of the hinge area there is a small raised area with a circle hole drilled in it.
The spring slides onto this are, black coated portion facing away from the door; The metal uncoated portion of the clip has a raised circular nub that clicks into the hole on the hinge.
Here is a picture, not a very good one, but it shows you the area I speak of.
Once you see the hole and the nub ont he spring, you'll see there is only one way it will go on.
