Timing is not adjustable. Timing and spark advance are controlled by the engine computer.

Wow!!! I don't think I would put that much faith in gorilla glue. I had the same problem and had to replace the hb pully. My belt ended up slipping and jumped a few teeth causing the car to be badly out of time. Fix it before that happens.

If you have never changed a cambelt (timing belt) then it is not recommended that you attempt it. It is a job for a mechanic, as getting the cam timing wrong on reassembly is easy to do and can have disastrous consequences. It is easy enough once you know how, and if you are reasonably mechanically able, I'd suggest getting a repair manual for your vehicle that has a step by step procedure for timing belt replacement. Companies like Haynes produce very good repair manuals.

use an electrical tester with a sharp point tip, and poke through the coating into the wire at every 5".
this is the best wat to test the wiring.

line up the key on the crankshaft with the little arrow/ marker thing on the front of the engine, just above the crank pulley. Turn the camshaft so that both valves on #1 are in the closed position, or, up, all the way.line the mark on the camshaft with the little dent thing on the top of the camshaft seal cover. Put your belt on and be careful not to move the cam or crank. After you get it installed, turn the engine over with a socket 2 complete revolutions, until the marks are both up again. If they aren't still exactly lined up the way they were, you are out a cog, and will have to do it again. This needs to be exact. After you get it, install everything and adjust the distributor timing. Good luck.
