2008 V6 3.9 pontiac montana still over heating

Hi, Yes you have an air lock in your system, you may get this sorted by 1/. Removing one of the cooling hoses & try to blow with air.
2/. Drain all the system then put your heater on inside the vehicle & have the engine running & refill the system Start to do this from a cold engine. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.

This post is a few months old, but figured I would post an answer.

Seems to be generic to a bunch of the smaller models. I have the same model as you, and the info seems pertinent.

I just bought a brand new campbell hausfeld 7 gallon air carry tank. it only bursts out air when i open the red open/close valve. if i open the the red valve, air will blow out regardless if it attached...

  • That red valve is an emergency release valve. When opened it is suppose to release all air in your tank. This is a safety feature. Keep it closed to keep your air in there for when you need it. Your hose is is where you want the air to come from. So you will fill the tank up to the capacity you need (keeping an eye on the gauge and the red valve closed.) When you need air access it through the hose attached to the tank. It will come out automatically when using which ever hose adapter you choose.

Air conditioning not working on dodge intrepid. added freon. still blowing out HOT AIR. what do i do now?

I have 2 ideas.

Idea 1: The clutch in your ac compressor could be out.

Idea 2: The ac compressor isn't getting any power. Use test lights on the connectors to the ac compressor to make sure it is getting power. (Test this before trying to change the ac compressor. It is way cheaper to fix a connection than to change the compressor.)

NOTE: ac compressor clutch is not available seperately for this car at discount auto parts stores.

Air cond compressor locked up

Was it the compressor or the compressor clutch? The compressor clutch can be changed out cheaper than the compressor. So make sure you check it out before going foward with changing out the compressor.
