How do I fix my radio in my 2005 nissan Altima.

check your radio fuses-one under hood and another under dashboard.usually after power cut you have to re-enter radio security code to get it going again most car scanners can retrieve it if you don't have on.

I have a 86 chrysler fifth avenue,my radio won't come on unless I jump the power wire to the accessory wire.what I need to do to fix this problem I want it to work regular

If you jump a wire to a different wire and it powers on, that means the 1st wire has no power. You either have a broken wire or a blown fuse on the source for the 1st wire. check all fuses, some radios use 2 or even 3 separate power wires (1 for amp, 1 for controls/display, and sometymes a 3rd isolated out for clock and memory only).

Make sure all power leads have power with KEY ON, and if any do not, trace the power circuit. Most common cause of no radio power is a fuse, and its not always the one marked RADIO. That one is often just the amp or the control display and is marked RADI because thats all it does, but the cigarette lighter or cluster fuse may also be needed to actually make it work.

RECENTLY HAD MY CAR JUMPED BECAUSE I LEFT THE HEADLIGHTS ON. NOW MY RADIO ISN'T WORKING. DID I FRY THE RADIO AND COULD A REPLACEMENT RADIO FIX THIS OR COULD THIS ALSO BE AFFECTED BY THE WIRING?

When jumping, or anything else electrical on a vehicle, always connect negative LAST. You could have fried the fuse or the radio. Check fuse first. On newer vehicles jumping is dangerous and can cause system failure.

1996 GMC JIMMY WILL NOT START: Turn the ignition and there is a repeated clicking sound. The interior lights, radio and power windows still function. Replaced the "in line" fuel filter under the...

It sounds like you probably have a shorted battery cell. This will not only cause the repeated clicking that you described, but it will also rob power when jump-starting from another vehicle. There is probably enough power when jump starting to turn the starter over, but after the starter take the power that it needs, there is not enough power to operate the computer system....so I have no doubt that you probably are not getting any fuel. The computer has to tell the fuel pump to run. If there is no power for the computer....I think you can figure it out from here.

Replace the battery and try it again.

I own a 2000 VW Jetta. Radio completely Dead

Have you checked the radio fuse? You may have blown the fuse when you jumped the car. The fuse box should be out under the hood encased in black plastic.

My potiac g6 died jumped it and now the radio will

The radio most likely went into lock mode as this happens when there is a power interuption as when battery goes dead. Have your dealer unlock radio as they may have to hook up to computer or give you unlock code as I donot know which model of radio you have.

2003 focus won't start

Even though the radio works the battery is your problem. It doesnt have enough juice to start the car. you will have to take it out of the car and have it tested to make sure. Any auto parts store will test it free of charge. Poor quality cables will not jump a battery with that low of power. I learned that the hard way with my impala.

You need a code to enable your radio. Happens every time the battery is dead or disconnected. Contact a Saturn rep.
