Either your battery voltage is too low, the battery is worn out, or the contacts in your starter solenoid are not making a good connection. One tip, never hold the key in the crank position if it will not crank, this can shorten the life of your starter. You can try cranking it repeatedly, and if the contacts are bad it should eventually try to crank after a few tries. I see this problem all the time. Otherwise, take your battery in and have it load tested to check the condition of it.

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse starts sometimes then wont and just makes a clicking sound, is my starter going out?

could be, unless your battery is dying. a nearly dead battery will make clicking noises while it is cranking. if you keep forcing it by turning the key from "run" to "crank" and it gets it to start it may be a dead spot on the starter.

Sounds like your battery / starter may be dead. Do you get a clicking sound at all? A click will indicate a dead starter, a buzz indicates battery issues.

1994 Toyota Corolla will not start

Most times a clicking sound is either an almost dead battery (hence any noise at all, a totally dead battery would be nothing) or it could be a starter problem. Try jumping it.
