Ask the dealer, before they , shut down,
they are Chapter 11 now. in usa, and canada.
if not there, state your country. ?
in some countries , they have an Immobilizer .
that is a Factory magic security box. with poor support, in the service sector.
Ask Suzuki while still time. to do so.

Replace cylinder without the old key (lost). I have depressed the retaining pin ok, but the cylinder seems 'sticy' and won't pull out. How hard is it supposed to be to pull the old cylinder out...

The problem you are experiencing is because the retainint pin will not push in unless the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position. This cannot happen if you do not have the key.

If the key is lost or the cylinder will not turn for any other reason, then the retaining pin must be DRILLED out using a 1/8" drill bit. (see picture)

NOTE: When drilling out the retaining pin, take care not to damage the cover cast housing or the hazard flasher switch.

Hi I have a Renualt megane 1.9 dci 2006 model and one day when i was driving it lost power and then the message CHECK INJECTIOn came up, after that smoke from 'i think' the exhoust. What may be...

Check injection is a fault used to cover lots of things on the fueling side of the car..You will need to have the fault codes read to determine the problem.

By accident a friend closed my trunk notrealizing that it would close by itself = I lost the owners manual and do not remember how to reset the system can you please help

If you know the 5 digit code to unlock your door, press the 5 digit code followed by the number 6. This will pop the trunk. To change the unlock code, press the 5 digit code, followed by the new code you wish to use. Keep in mind, the new code will be lost if the car should lose power and revert back to it's original code.

Code P2509

Check that ths DTC P2509 ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent

Probably a bad connection to the engine computer. It's got two power feeds, switched/key and constant. The motor won't run without the switched key power on. Long story short, the computer can detect if the power leads aren't solid. That code should give the dealer something to look for. Before bringing it in check the battery terminals, all the fuses, all the relays, and the PCM connector itself (if it's easily accessable).

Also, according to the powertrain diagnostics manual, page 248, it's "Powerdown data lost error". Set condition: loss of voltage detected at the ECM for a calibrated amount of time.

If you don't trust your dealer to perform the diagnostics, I recommend splicing a volt meter into the following power pins on the ECM:
- Connector C2 (polarizing pins are at the bottom of the connector): 20, 30, and 40. Those need to be +12. Pins 21, 49, and 50 are the grounds.
- Run the voltmeter into the cab so you can watch it all the time.

Hope helps (remember rated this).
