If you look down at the parking brake lever from above there should be a tightning bolt to adjust the position of the lever. Never done this on Yaris, Let me know if the adjustment nut is there, if not I will check further. Thanks

yes they should be self adjusting but none of these ever work properly.The garage should have removed rear drums and cleaned them out and then rubbed down the rust lip that forms on the outside of the inside of the drum.Then cylinders checked out like you have done then shoes adjusted up till just catching on drum,this will bring the handbrake up as well.Too many know it all know nothing cowboys in this game and no govening body in any country to legislate,be different if it was solicitors .

The only trick is banging it off. Drums are known to be "frozen" on or stuck. Honestly, the only way to get them off when they are stuck is to carefully hammer it off. Below is what is required to remove and replace the drum....and a picture of your system:

Replace the right rear brake lamp. The bulb possible use two filaments one for brake and tail light. One burnt out filament in one bulb.
