Actually it is pretty easy. Take the plastic off from around the base of the steering column...couple of screws. Take the plastic trim off from around the radio. Pop one edge off and then the rest you work off....it pops back in place. Next, tilt your steering wheel as far down as possible.

Remove the plastic around the the whole area in front of the dash...it really isn't much, just sounds like it. To do so, remove the fuse panel on the driver's side of the dash. Remove that screw there. That plastic "hood" that covers the gauges, trim piece, it pops right out also. Once that is removed, unscrew the instrument cluster....the screws on the WHITE tabs.

Carefully remove the instrument cluster and unplug the harness in the back....

Pretty much it!

You will laugh when you see how easy it really is once you start to put it back in. Very simple. If you have to do it again, you should be able to do it in like 10 minutes or less......and think of what the dealership would have charged you!!!!!!

2000 dodge intrepid es ...turn key on..all other lights come on like normal...but the dash light will not come on for the gauges(which all work fine) when i turn lights on at night. i have no idea how

Well that seems like a pretty simple but aggrevating fix, either the ground wire or power supply wire contact has been broken. The odometer, is it coming on? I am assuming all from this model year have the digital odometer which lights up. First thing I'd do is look under the dash at every wire that might have come loose due to being kicked by a foot or a plug damaged somehow. If none of them are damaged or obviously broken then check the back of the light switch next and then last look at the back of the guages.

All interior lights flicker while driving & in park

I would check your fuse board for a loose fuse or wire to it from the battery as sometimes vibration loosens terminals eric

Trying to replce dash lights on speedomoter on a

Hi there,

Well you can please follow the below steps -
1. Remove the two screws on the underside of the dash cowl.
2. Pull off the trim bezel that surrounds the gauge cluster and dash assembly by pulling it forward with your hands.
3. Remove the four screws that hold the gauge cluster in place.
4. Slide the gauge cluster forward, and remove the electrical plugs from the back of the cluster.
5. Replace the bulbs that are blown. Turn each bulb counterclockwise to unlock it from the dash cluster assembly, then pull the bulb straight out of the housing. Insert the new bulb, align the tabs on the bulb with the notches in the back of the cluster and turn it clockwise to lock it into the housing.
6. Reassemble the dash. Assembly is the reverse of disassembly. Post comments for more help or information........

Good Luck!!

Dash board gauges not working on voyager 2000

You need to check your main fuses under the hood first and then check them under the driver side dash board.

Burned out gauge lights in dash,2000 Doge Intrepid

From one female to another...taking the dash off is a big job. you have to pry off the entire frame first to get to where you want to go. Once you have everything off, the lights are easy. Just remember to place everything in order as you took it off, makes things easier to put back together.

you are going to have to take the dash apart. You probably have a short in the connector where it comes into the gauge cluster
