Remove the seat and runners from the floor mount or raiser. Have a piece of rectangular hollow section (RHS) steel cut an bolted to the floor or raiser and reinstall the seats to that. Comes in all sizes from 1"x1" ---1''x2"--1"x3"or 25mmx25mm---25x50mm etc. Know how high you need to be first. Remember that in going up you will have to come forward to reach the pedals and will be closer to the steering wheel. Have a good fitter do the job as it is a vehicle modification and has to be done properly

I need to raise the drivers power seat on my 2016 new Volvo V90 1" above the current maximum height due to my short height. So far little help from Volvo.

It would not be an easy task as Volvo builds their seat base to lock in to the floor structure of the car, but if you could find a competent machine shop to manufacture 1" spacer plates to mount between the seat base and the floor of the car.

Is there a way to raise the pedals so i can reach them?

Hi Susan:
Pedal heights are typically not adjustable. You usually adjust the seat so that the pedals are at the right distance. Seat height is also important for easy vision. If the seat is in the best position for you and you're still not comfortable with the pedals, you could have blocks bolted to the pedals to make them more convenient for you. It would be a handyman custom project. Make them secure, and with a non slip surface.
Hope this helps.

Seat height adjustment

Hi
There should be a set of levers on the right hand side (left hand if you are on the left). one of these will move the seat back and forth, one will raise and lower and one will move the seat back.
Some of these rise and fall levers are a "pump action style" where you push down to get the level or pull up.
Other type will raise the seat fully either up or down. Its on a cam.
I have had these seize before and have had to replace the mechanism.
Cheers
Roger

I am too short to see over the hood in the 2011 BMW 528i. Can the seat be raised more?

The seat will only go as high as it does. Very sorry to say there is an aftermarket device, it's called a booster seat. We have some ladies that put a pillow (cushion?) on the seat to get a little extra height.

Why won't the driver's seat on my 2006 XJ8L won't adjust in height?

You have a problem with the power seat transmission. The 1st thing to do is make sure that nothing under the seat is impeding the movement of the seat, if that is OK you will need to try and find a used power seat transmission, the parts are not sold separately, just the whole assembly.

Front seat springs

the spring is for height adjustment. all other functions will still work. the only fix is to replace the seat frame which is very expensive. you can actually still adjust the height but not while you are in the seat your weight will keep it from raising. Just remove the spring so it doesnt jam under the seat and everything else will continue working fine.

Adjust the driver sheet hight

If you have electric seats push the smaller of the two buttons/levers up and it should raise the seat.
