You have to get a new alignment after replacing suspension parts-that's normal.

How do you take out the inner control arm of a 1996 sunfire?

Hi,
Just to be safe take it to an wheel alignment company. It Might be struts. They make bad noises when they go bad, and are more than likely the culprit. It could also be the strut plate, it is the part that the strut bolts to at the top, and it bolts to the car. It allows the strut to turn when you turn the wheel. If it goes bad you will hear a clicking sound when the wheel is turned, and it will clunk around when you hit rough roads or bumps. Only way to check that is to take it to a good alignment shop, tell them what you think it may be. Some models you have to pull the strut to check it all out. Being a '96 it is probably a good guess it could use a set of struts anyway. 2 front struts and alignment.

Front end vibrates at any speed

have a wheel alignment done as the upper strut mounting plate was not put back in the right place . . The mounting plate is off set so by turning it around ,the wheel alignment changes and when the strut was re assembled the original holes were not in the right place and the alignment has altered.

I just replaced front struts on 2003 mazda tribute, now it has a bad shimmy at about 45 mph

Have the alignment checked. Anytime you do front end suspension work, the alignment needs to be checked-it is probably off.

How do you install front struts on a 1995 park avenue that has dyna ride. is there more to it than just replacing the strut?

View your replacement strut before starting...not much to switch out the struts...no special notes...be sure to have aligned after the switch out...The Park Avenue will eat your front tires alive...if not aligned properly...Hope this helps.

How do u change struts on a 2000 saab 93

Since the struts are the important suspension parts of the car specially of the front, the job must be taken seriously and done with good tools. Also the alignment must be checked after replacing of the strut which need a good sytem.
So even though the strut can be removed and fitted like removing the strut with jacking up the front , removing the wheel assembly , removing the link and pulling out down.
But care must be taken to put back with new bushes on the balance rods, check the tie rod ends and suspension bushes.
My Advice is to get the OE component replaced by the service dealer, checked, aligned with warranty.

1992 jeep shimmies badly at around 55

Just as a precaution, have the front suspension checked. It is most likely that the front wheels need to be balanced. Double check for abnormalities such as bubbles and seperation of the tread. Usually though if the tires were seperated, they would make an appearance at low speeds. Good news! Also if the shocks have not been replaced in the last few years, it would be very advisable. It will aslo help with tire wear.

How do I replace cv boot on a buick park ave

The boot you need to replace is call OUTER CV BOOT.

The quickest way to inspect is to drive it in low speed (UNDER 10 mph) tight left and right turns.

If you hear clicking sound then the CV shaft is bad.

It's also depending on how long the CV boot been crack.

===
If you decide to go ahead on the job then please observe safety and use jack stands to fully support the front end.

Remove wheel, cotter pin, retainer cap and larger axle nut.

Make alignments markings on the strut tower and steering mount so your front end will able to put back to alignment.

You will need an able body to do the following.

Remove the large lower strut bolts and swing the strut off the CV.

DO NOT ROCK THE CAR!!!

Clean off the outer CV.

Install boot, grease and the two bands.

Line up the strut and steering yoke marks

repack bearings,lock nut,cap,cotter pin,wheel.

Drive the car in low speed for 1 miles with tight turns.

Do a quick inspection to make sure the CV boot is sitting perfectly on the CV.

I need struts for my 1991 toyota previa. besides

There are a few other things that could be wrong with it. Such as ball jionts, wheel bearings, and tie rod ends. although it is rare, it is not unheard of for bad struts to cause them to go bad. when you put them on go and have the van alligned. when they allign it they will tell you if any of the other parts are wore out or not.

I just got my front brakes replaced on my 2000 Toyota Camry. It has less than 80,000 miles on it. The mechanic said that there had been only 1/32nd" left on the front, but the back brakes were fine....

everything the mechanic suggested is right on target. Over time you do not realize that the ride of your car has deteriorated until you put on the new struts and the alignment is a must after the replacement of those struts. As far as the back brakes being good versus the front being worn out, the front brakes take a lot more abuse than the rears do to eight transfer upon braking.
