Check engine immobiliser and key battery.
Have the fault codes read for faults Replace the faulty units with genuine one
because most aftermarket units are not set for OEM cpu units and are not
completely compatible.

I think you should check ABS sensor ring on the rear wheels. This is known to come loose and cause this problem. Hopefully it's just that you not the entire hydraulic unit

SOURCE: 1999 buick lesabre turns over the ignition moduler

I think I may be able to help you, but first we need to clear a few things up. Is it getting spark or not? If it is getting spark, why are we testing the ignition module? The next question would then be how did you go about determining that it is getting fuel? Have you tested your fuel pressure? If so, what was the pressure reading? Did you check for injector pulse to make sure that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is able to fire the fuel injectors?

Also, you are working with an engine where the ignition timing and the fuel is controlled by the PCM. Have you scanned the PCM for fault codes? If so, what codes did you get?

If you do not know the answers to these questions, or if you do not know how to do this stuff, post a comment to let me know. I can give you step by step instructions on how figure this out. These questions MUST be answered before anybody can give you any REAL help with your problem (Although many may try to "guess" - which rarely works and usually turns out to be VERY EXPENSIVE!).

SOURCE: my 1999 masda 626 won't

check relays/fuses first then the pump if you know how to test it
the pump is easy to test locate any fuel line unplug it tell a friend to make a quick one key turn if squirts fuel then pump is fine
but check the pump relay first to make sure and to begin with simplest
it seems you can tell it is the pump but you don`t know where to start

Hi.

If it does turn over and electrical works, then the problem is unlikely the battery. You can try jump starting. If it cranks when jump-starting it may be a weak battery, starter motor or alternator, but I don't think that this is the problem.

Check if there is spark on all cylinders. Do a code scanning (this car is OBD1, you will need to do the scan at the dealer place or to find a BMW OBD1 tool- Universal OBD2 scanner will not work on a 1994 BMW). If the codes return misfire or mixture related errors check fuel pressure, check sensors and parts that determine the mixture (MAF/MAP, AIT, O2 sensors, IAC and EGR system), check the vacuum system for leaks and check the crank sensor.

Regards.

SOURCE: My bmw 320i e90 2005 only cranks but won't start

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

In bmw 1 series 120d, what does the appearance of airbag and seatbelt shown together means?

Hi, Well, if both are onat the same time it meanssit tight, you're about to eat it.Sorry, couldn't resist. It would generally mean a problem exist in the sensing units of those two systems. When you start the carthe computer does a self test of the computerized and safety items. There could be simple fixes like a something being placed on the seat (passenger) and the seat belt not fastened. Most newer systems have a airbagoff option so certain passengers that can't handle the blast of the bag, don't get hurt.. Avoid having anything on the passenger front seat. When you start the vehicle the computer sets a fault code, wqhich can be erased after a thorough inspectionof those systems.Focus on the seat pressure switches. AND, of course the fuses. Good luck, I hope it''s something so minor. _Ned_.
