Now, if everything fails, maybe it's a mechanical or electronic problem with your device. I had this problem with my player and simply, eplaced it with an MP3 player.. Store in my 8 Gb prendrive about 6000 files. I use a bitrate of 48 kbps VBR in WMA (most MP3 players recognize Windows Media Audio format, delivering a better sound) more then enough for a perfect playback needed for casual listening while I drive.
it might just be a bit of dust on the inside laser. Step 3 Laser Lens Cleaning
Locate the lens on the disc drive.
Make sure that there is no dust on or near the player and area you are working on. ...
Dip one end of a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol.
Lightly dab the swab on the lens. ...
Let the lens dry before replacing the top plate of the DVD player.
or just buy your self a disc cleaning laser disc.
How do you clean the laser on a DVD player?
To maintain your DVD player, occasionally unscrew the player's case, so you can get at the lens to clean it. You need a screwdriver, canned air or a soft brush, a foam swab or camera-lens cleaner, and lens cleaning fluid from a camera store
yes , I think your are somewhat right. It is possible that your DVD has encountered some fault which issues the error. You will need to remove the player and take it out. check if the mecchanism is half stuck or if any action of the drive is mid way resulting in the mode not ccoming to the final rest. This is giving the faulty of the error. see all the link drives, the loading mechanism . use a head cleaner to wipe the optical head. if the cd does not load check on the main board for supply failure of the main drive. since the dvd is not acting you have the amp cutting off the rear/surrround. The error can be even an electronic one. check for the failure of the drive IC . failure in the sub power. Hope this helps.Good day.
hi please check the power cable goin to DVD player.
if the power cable is in place then there is the problem with the cable may be there is a loose connection in it. try changing the new cable and check weather it is working.
DVD player saying NO DVD. this is because you might have inserted the file format which wil not be supported by that particular player. if you have placed a correct format dvd then problem is with the dvd player. Give it for service

While in park, get the movie playing. Then press on the "Audio" button. This is the button that displays the speaker balance (front, back, left, right). While the audio display is still showing, put the car in drive (or reverse to back out and then drive). Once you are underway, press on the "Audio" button. The video will continue to play up front while you are driving. You have to do this each time, but its not that big of a deal. Obviously this is for the front passenger's use, and not intended for the driver.
Not sure about the European version, but the American factory version will not play video DVD's while the vehicle is in motion, (Drivers area) due to laws against this. Also...just to cover the non-factory installs, most aftermarket indash DVD players have a safety switch which prevents the driver from playing DVD movies while driving the vehicle. The vehicle must be in park for the DVD player to play a movie.
