Fords do not have a label on the fuse box cover. only a number index. If you have the owners manual it will be in that. there will be a map of the fuse box. if you do not here is a link to pics.

Fuse panel diagram 1994

The fuse you are looking for is located in the engine compartment, center left (driver's side). remove the square (approximately 8" by 8") black plastic cover to expose the fuses. The fuse that controls both the windows and the seats is the 50 amp square fuse at top center (top is @ engine side, bottom is @ fender). You will no doubt notice that the fuse element has burned out by looking thru the clear plastic window on the top of the fuse and comparing with the 30 amp fuses to the right of this fuse. If your windows are operating, but your seats are not, your 30 amp rectangular aluminum covered fuse under the instrument console left of the steering column needs to be replaced (remove the fuse block cover by unscrewing the plastic hex bolt in the center of the cover and releasing the plastic overlap catches on either side of the cover). Fuse layout legends are printed on the inside of all fuse box covers.

I got the top off--now what? i'm trying to replace fuse # 10 (power windows)

Is the fuse blown? You can tell by looking at the center of it. If there is shiny metal showing., it's probably good. If not then grab hold of it and pull it out. You may have to use something to pry on it.

2002 BMW 530i -My a/c quit working and wont come on at all, even the fan only. The rear windows also stopped working but the front windows work fine. Could this be a fuse? if so, how do i determine...

locate your fuse panels for your model and when you open the lid/panel it will have symbols to id each fuse like a door window for a window fuse

it will also have the amp range 5 amp or 10 amp or more for that fuse etc

look at the panel symbols and compare them to the fuse amp range from the bottom to the top so you can match the symbols to the right fuse amp

each fuse has two tips slightly extending from the top of the fuse top so you can use a light tester to test the top and the bottom of the fuse, both sides most light up, if only one side lights check that fuse

some fuses only come on when the accessories is turned on, so they might not work until the accessories is turned on

anyway check any fuses that dont light up and if broken replace them

there are also fuses under the bonnet of some cars so dont forget to check there too

Windows wont go up on 2001 ford mustang dont have fuse diagram

The fuse for the power windows is a 40 amp. fuse in the fuse/relay box located under the hood on the drivers side of your vechicle.
It's the first top fuse (position 12) next to the relays.
To see a fuse block diagram go to this FREE Ford website and download the owners manual for your vechicle. It's location in the manual is "roadside emergencies" page 136.

Fuse / windows

1.check the fuses for the problem with the cig. lighter and it dont hurt to check them all just in case another is bad. sounds like the power window motor is woren out and could go out at any time. there arent any fuses for them only relays(maybe).
