Car turn over wont crank

what you mean is the car turns over won`t fire/start. you need to find out if you are missing fuel or spark. check for codes. if you have no fuel it maybe a pump or plugged fuel filter. if you have no spark then it could be many things. like crank/cam sensor, poor wiring or connections, poor plugs, wires, ignition coil, even possibly a computer. check the first 3 things and go from there.

Have multiple random misfire code on my 96 buick lesabre. this becan after driving through a stream of water on the road. obvious chugging and missing. where do i start.

it sounds like you drenched the coil packs and they are shorting out
you can try 3 things
1 if its sunny out open the hood with a fan blowing on the motor the fan will dry the water
2 if you have a heated garage turn the heat up and leave the car in side for the day
3 buy new coils and change them out

hope this helps you
good luck

in several models you have to change 2 coils in time with each other, as defect of one affect the other, I think you have to change as mentioned in service manual 1&4 or 2&3 coils .

you are having a problem with the idle. this can be caused by a number of things. first is air filter. ever changed it? then there are sensors. do you have a check engine light on? it would help if you found an auto parts store that will run a scanner on the engine-they do it for free at most places- then see what you get to help diagnose the problem. good luck

2001 chervrolet camera is missing and cutting out

You might have a bad ignition coil. Exchange the #5 coil with another position and see if the "missing" follows the suspected bad coil. If not, then check for a bad # 5 spark plug wire.

I have a 2001 Focus that is showing a #3 misfire, changed the spark plugs and wires and it is still running rough? What next?

had the same thing with my crown vic on the #8 cylinder. changed plugs and wires. still missing. wound up replacing the coil pack. you can check resistence of the coil between companion spark plug towers. ford marks each tower with 2 cylinder #'s. resisistence should be around 10-12 ohms

2002 Ford Tarus intermittant missing cyl #3 after tuneup

I would remove one plug at a time, plug it back in wire and lay on top of engine block. Have some one crank and look for spark. Do this for each plug. If 1 is missing. You have bad wire. If two sparks are missing, then you have bad coil pack, if 3 is missing, you have two bad packs or bad module, if all cylinders are missing, then module or cranks sensor is faulty. Dont forge to change those plug wires just as often as plugs. They may look good still, but they get weak

1997 fordexplorer 5.0 awd #3 misfire

Change the coil that's the only thing you did not change and a coil if it's weak will cause a miss fire. You can do a compression check on #3 also. If timing was out the truck would be missing like crazy. Change the coil pack.

Can't keep coils working

Have you replace spark plugs? They may be overworking the coil packs. I would recommend the motorcraft spark plugs.
