SOURCE: where is the drain plug located on a Volvo 2000

There no tranny drain plug, you must drop the pan to change the fluid and filter. Standard fluid is fne. I believe Dextron3 but double check with the autoparts store (tell them you have a volvo) and they can lookup the correct type of ATF.

Does the manual transmission have a dipstick on a 2007 Volvo S40 T5 AWD?

No it doesn't. There is a fill plug on the drivers side of the transmission. Fill it till it starts to come out the hole. There is a drain plug on the bottom if you want to service it. They are usually marked.

Should be 2 plugs on the gear box. Lower is for draining and the upper is for filling. You fill it to just at the base of the fill hole for proper level.

Change transmission fluid sr5 automatic 2005 hilux 4wheel drive

If you have to ask, you better not try this at home.
Get it to a pro, as replacing the fluid on a transmission without a dipstick requires certain techniques which is typically out of the scope of the do-it-yourselfer. On some of these vehicles, special tooling is required.

2005 volvo s40 t5 spins over great but wont start. hear some whinning noise and clicking uner the hood. any help?

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

Volvo s40 t5 2005, water leak behind the passenger seat

Most likely the sunroof drains are clogged. It happened to mine, the floormats and floors were soaked, especially behind the drivers side. Volvo wanted to charge me $550 to clear them out and dry out the floors. Instead I took it home, rolled down the windows, parked it in the sun and let it dry out. Then I found a mechanic who blew out the drains with compressed air for only $20. He had originally quoted me $50-100, but ended up doing it for less. He said the two back drains are clogged. You can try sticking a small flexible wire down the front two yourself, then pour water down to see if it drains properly out the bottom of the car. When I looked I didn't see the two back sunroof drains, but my mechanic said they were clogged with leaves, you might be able to clear these yourself too. I would have never guessed that it was the sunroof causing this, because you don't see the water leak around the sunroof, you only see the water backing up on the floor. Don't take it to the dealership, it's a simple job and they will rip you off.

Auto transmission oil where do i check it sorry volvo s40 x reg

Some cars do not have a dipstick for the transmission, they have two plugs on the side of the trans, one to fill, one to drain. I don't know about yours, but look for the dipstick, usually on the right side, passenger side, of the engine. Some have 2 marks on them, one for hot, one for cold. If you find it, and it is low, make sure you get the right oil back in there, there are about 15 different kinds, most have standardized to one type.

No dipstick to put transmission fluid into

HI, this transmission is a sealed type. you will need to purchase a special tool from the dealership to fill this unit properly.

Contact the nearest Audi dealer for this fill tool.
