Question about 2000 Dodge Caravan
2000 Dodge Caravan will not start. We replaced the starter and still would not start. Hooked up with something that suppose to tell what was wrong. Said cam sensor. Replaced the distributor because could not get just sensor. Still won't start. Motor will not even turn over. What could be wrong?
Sounds similar to my old 94 dodge ram. Battery died at least I thought, replaced it and truck would not turn over. After about three hours of playing around I start checking all my wires and connections any loose wires I tighten or replaced if they looked worn or bad. And I found a ground wire was not connected to frame it came loose. Tightened it and hooked battery up and it started.

SOURCE: starter for dodge caravan 2000
DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, JACK UP AND SUPPORT YOUR CARAVAN. LYING ON YOUR BACK LOCATE THE STARTER WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE ENGINE THROUGH THE BELL HOUSING .THERE ARE TWO 15 MILIMETER BOLTS THAT HOLDS THE STARTER ON . AFTER BREAKING THE BOLTS A 15MM WRENCH WOULD BE USEFUL.

It is on the firewall under the hood. It has 3 to 4 bolts holding on. Be careful when taking it out to see how the new one lines back up. Hope it helps.
