SOURCE: I have a code p0452 low fuel tank pressure. Is the

yes the pressure sensor in mounted in a rubber grommet on the top of the fuel tank. it could be the sensor but the only way to know for sure is have the dealer do a evaporative emissions fuel tank pressure test, they have the special tools to do this, outside shops do not. Have u tried a new gas cap, they can leak and cause the problem, in fact that is very common.

SOURCE: I would like to know were the fuel tank pressure sensor

The sensor is located on top of the fuel pump. It should be black in color. You have an access plate in the trunk to get to the fuel pump without dropping the tank.

Fuel Pump Flow Control Module (FPCM) - LMF
The fuel pump flow control module (FPCM) is a serviceable GMLAN module. The FPCM receives the desired fuel pressure message from the engine control module (ECM) and controls the fuel pump located within the fuel tank to achieve the desired fuel pressure. The FPCM sends a 25 KHZ PWM signal to the fuel pump, and pump speed is changed by varying the duty cycle of this signal. Maximum current supplied to the fuel pump is 15 amps. A liquid fuel pressure sensor provides fuel pressure feedback to the FPCM.
Electronic Returnless Fuel System (ERFS) - LMF
The electronic returnless fuel system is a microprocessor controlled fuel delivery system which transports fuel from the tank to the fuel rails. It functions as an electronic replacement for a traditional, mechanical fuel pressure regulator. A pressure vent valve within the fuel tank provides an added measure of fuel pump flow control module (FPCM). Desired fuel pressure is commanded by the engine control module (ECM), and transmitted to the FPCM via a GMLAN serial data message. A liquid fuel pressure sensor provides the feedback the FPCM requires for Closed Loop fuel pressure control.

The engine control module (ECM) supplies voltage to the fuel pump flow control module (FPCM) when the ECM detects that the ignition is on. The voltage from the ECM to the FPCM remains active for 2 seconds, unless the engine is in crank or run. While this voltage is being received, the FPCM supplies a varying voltage to the fuel tank pump module in order to maintain the desired fuel rail pressure.

Replacing a fuel tank pressure sensor. Is this different than the fuel regulator on the fuel pump?

Fuel tank pressure sensor is a sensor that is on my vehicle and I would assume on all vehicles on the fuel tank itself. Fuel tanks build up pressure (lots of pressure sometimes) They must have a way to vent this pressure so manufactures install fuel tank pressure valves and wire a sensor to it and hook it up to the on board computer. On my Mercury marquis it is impossible to replace my sensor without first removing the fuel tank. So to answer your ? yes the fuel pump regulator is different than the fuel tank pressure sensor. If you need help positively locating where it is go to and create an account (free) and enter your yr/mk/model and there you can go to repair help and view online Chiltons repair manuals. Good Luck!

Where is the fuel tank pressure sensor located in a 1998 Buick Regal Supercharged?

I believe that I can help you.

    Go to your throttle body.
    • A large diameter fuel rail is attached to the top of the intake manifold and supplies fuel to all of the injectors.
    • A fuel pressure cap is located on the rail for quick pressure checks,
    • The electric fuel pump is attached to the fuel sender assembly in the fuel tank. It pumps fuel constantly from the tank, through the fuel rail on to the engine and back to the tank.
    • The fuel pressure regulator that is mounted on the fuel rail maintains pressure across the injectors under all operating conditions.
Unfortunately, my scanner is inoperative and I cannot provide you with a diagram

What is the codes means po452 and po453

The codes indicate a problem with the fuel tank pressure sensor. One code is for no volts, the other is for high volts. Without a scanner hooked up to monitor. I have to go with you have a bad fuel tank pressure sensor. this is an emissions control sensor. the tank is pressurized and the sensor monitors it for leaks etc. the tank must come out as it is mounted on top of fuel pump module

    1. Raise the vehicle.
    2. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank .
    3. Remove the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor electrical connector.

    PO452 code!

Try this sight and follow the directions.

Random misfire could mean you need a tune up. If you are at 100000 miles put in good X.C platinum plugs and a/c Delco wires.. Do a good fuel injection cleaning.

    Hope this helps.
