Did you make sure the balance shaft belt was ok? Double check to make sure the timing belt is in time and tight. They have a two step tensioner that must be set in a certain order for correct timing.

SOURCE: Need help installing serpentine belt on 1990 Chrysler Imperial 3.3 V6 with A/C. Space is limited for getting hands in to loosen belt tensioner or anywhere to get belt over pulley's. Any suggestion
Be sure to start by making sure you have the belt routing diagram or draw on up! I have trouble stuffing my hands into some of those spaces too. Usually what I do is locate the tensioner pulley and depress it. I've used long flat wrenches designed for exactly this problem all the way to a pry bar placed and used carefully so as not to damage anything. There is usually a flat (no grooves) pulley that you can slip the belt off of. Once you get it off a single pulley, gently release the tensioner and you can start to feed the belt off. Again, using a long screwdriver or whatever necessary to get it off. Then again, you could just cut it and pull! Feed the new belt in to the bottom and work up. Keep the belt snug so you don't knock one side off while trying to wrap it around another and work it up to the same pulley that you pulled it off from to start. Again, press the tensioner down, pop the belt in to place. INSPECT carefully to be sure nothing slid off a pulley even a little bit. Then you should be good to go! A pain for those of us who can't wear "one size fits all" gloves but its the best solution I've come up with! Best of luck!
