SOURCE: 1989 Nissan Pathfinder Vg30I-V6 turn's over but wont start

Dear Phoebejanis: If your ignition coil is hot and you can get a spark coming off of the coil wire, the only thing I can suspect would be a problem with a bad rotor in the distributor. If the coil is delivering to the distributor but it travels no further, the energy must be dissipating somewhere. If a rotor has a short, the plug wires will never be delivered any spark.
Also a distributor cap with a missing carbon button which rides on the top of the rotor may be missing. I really cant think af any other things it could be.
If I have solved your problem, please let other's know by writing in, so they will learn, not to mention the ATTABOY's I might get.
Good luck.

SOURCE: How do I change the spark plugs on my 2001 nissan

Remove the front five by removing the boots using a boot-puller and then removing the plug.

The 6th plug at the rear of the engine is difficult to get out. You will need to remove the intake to accomplish that task.

Dealers charge a pretty penny for this "service" though it would not cost more than a few dollars if the vehicle had been better designed. A ten minute job turns into an afternoon here.

Good luck.

98 nissan pathfinder 3.0 wont start new distribitor no fire

What do you mean "the battery still no fire"?

Do you mean that there is no spark at the spark plug?
Have you pulled out a plug, grounded it and cranked the engine to check to see what colour (if any) the spark is?
If there is no spark at the plug, then either change the plugs if they look to be in very poor condition, or change the coil.

How do I change the sparks plug for my 2000 Pathfinder?

Remove the air duct on the engine and Disconnect the harness and brackets around the ignition coil and remove the ignition coil. Unscrew and remove the spark plug and replace it with new spark plug in to the cylinder well and tighten it. Make sure to adjust the tension of spark plug as per the specification of spark plug manufacturer. Working on a 97 nissan pathfinder would start but very rough idle and would not rev up. changed plugs cap and rotor now wont start at all? any help would be great

most likely coil insulation has failed.most commonly occurs in tower area.remove cap, crank engine and watch where spark arcs to .if it comes out anywhere but the outlet portion of the tower or you dont see any at all...the coil has a failure.bad news is you have toget the whole distributor assy.coil not serviced separately.
