Question about Chrysler Cars & Trucks
Right tail light is intermittent and rear turn signals cause back up light on opposite side to blink. Where do I start to diagnose this problem?
Not sure of the vehicle but it sounds like a ground problem,
you have power back there it sounds like and if a ground is
bad the power will ground thru another bulb filament.
A clip lead to a good ground to a tail light ground circuit
will confirm. As close to the bulb as possible.

SOURCE: 1991 volvo tail lights
Could you take out a bulb and with a testlight/probe check that you do in fact have power to that circuit .Also check that they are the correct bulb for that application I have seen people put indicator bulbs in where therse supposed to be a double filament bulb.Does the base of the bulbs lead contacts line up with the two steel terminals inside the plug?
