I need to know the positive and negative speaker wires from the door speakers on my 1999 ford expedition xlt. There isnt a marking on the factory ones and i want to put after market ones but dont know

white and orange are your positive wires. need-know-positive-negative-speaker-l0u5xrrbjmm23votbgnhzwek-1-0.jpg

You can buy some pigtails like this at a local car audio shop. No wire cutting involved, they snap right onto your factory connectors and aftermarket speaker terminals. Worth every penny.

Reverse light wiring diagram

The easy way to find out what was the positive or the negative without knowing the wire color code or without using the tester,,,is.. cut the bulb's line you want to know. Scratch them one by one to the unpainted vehicle's body,,If the wire has built a spark?.. That is the POSITIVE.

I bought some halo driving lights for my '03 GMC Sierra 1500, they came with a wiring harness, switch and everything needed for installation except for installation instructions. Help PLEASE!

Tools recommended for this job: wire stripper, wire crimper, volt meter, 4x quick wire connectors, 4x male crimp connectors, 4x female crimp connectors
  1. First, tape the halo and/or LED wires to the back of the headlights to keep them from tangling.
  2. Keep the pairs in order by their color, e.g. black, black (ground) and Red, Red (positive). Note: positive and ground wires might not always be black and red.
  3. Remove some of the plastic shielding at the end of the wires to expose enough copper wire, next twist the copper together to strengthen it.
  4. Shove the twisted copper into a crimp connector; crimp the location where wire and the connector end overlaps, wrap with electrical tape to secure it.
  5. Two extra wires in black and red will be helpful to make the halo/LED wire longer to easier installation. Remove shielding: show copper: use the connectors: connect the positive and ground from the headlights.
  6. Next step, turn the headlights inside the car to the [on] position.
  7. Take the volt meter and connect the negative to the negative on the battery (please use extreme precaution when doing so).
  8. The headlight harness usually will have [3] wires, generally red, black, green (headlights, ground, turn signal). Use the volt meter to test which wire will have power running through it (since the headlight is in the [on] position) which will be the headlight wire.
  9. Use the quick connector to connect the extra wires (red) to the power wire on the harness and black to the ground. This will split the current coming from the harness. Crimp the connectors and use electrical tape to secure it.
  10. Now connect the projector headlight halo wires and the harness from the car.
  11. No wires should be left over unconnected.
  12. The installation is now complete.

Wire harness to switch from stock stereo to cd player will not fit the wires that are supposed to? so what wires are the speaker wires

Not sure I understand your question. Did you buy a harness adapter for GMC, or are you trying to just cut the connector off the factory radio and solder it to your CD player? If the latter, below is the color code for your factory wiring.

No power to fuel pump

First step, a simple step, check the fuse for the fuel pump and replace if needed. Step two, disconnect pigtail from fuel pump, turn ignition on to the pre-start position so that the instrument cluster is illuminated. Step three, determine with a volt meter if sufficient voltage is coming from the wires by connecting negative and positive to their respective polarities on the pigtail connector. If voltage is sufficient, then replace the fuel pump. If no voltage is present, trace the electrical line to its power source to make sure the wires are not cut or missing insulation. Repair as needed. If this does not help, take to your mechanic. Hopefully, this will FixYa problem!
