Bleeding power steering 1996 explorer

to bleed the power steering all you have to do is fill the resorvoir and start the motor and turn the steering from stop to stop until there is no air in the system and recheck the level and there is no air in the fluid.

I didn't see the washer pump under the shroud on my 1997 jeep cherokee? I saw the motor (wipers work fine) and the washer reserve signal switch. Where is the washer pump located?

Your washer pump and resorvoir are located inside the drivers fender. You may need to take off the wheel to have better acces but, you will need to remove the plastic fender trim and you will see the resorvoir located inside. The pumps are attached to the resorvoir.

I recently purchased a 1996 pontiac bonneville and can not find the resorvoir for the power steering unit.i can find everything else but that

Hello: If it has a 3800 engine check under the hood on the passenger side. The power steering pump and reservoir are together and the unit is mounted low down on the back side of the engine. Some difficulty removing the cap on the reservoir. The cap has a dip stick attached to it. If removed make sure its put back on tight.

Pressure line hose on the power steering pump/resorvoir is leaking and needs replacing. I need to know how to take it off the vehicle to replace the hose.

Undo the line nut on the back of the pump and undo the line nut on the steering box.. dont think the pump has to be removed to do this Line nuts are 18 mm or 16mm / 5/8s good luck

Where is the power steering resorvoir on a mazda mpv 1999

If this is the same as my 91 (No MPVs Show for 99) the power steering is located on the passenger side behind the alternator and its a pain to get to if you dont know where it is. Make sure you have it outside in the sun and you will see the filler dipstick. That is where the resovoir is located. Its actually right at the power steering pump location if its like my 91.

If its like the 2000 (or so) its an actual seperate resovoir on the passenger side fenderwell. Its in an obvious place so it you cant find it Im guessing your engine is inline and rear wheel drive like my older MPV and youll find it behind that alternator.

Hope this helps and lf it does dont forget to rate the solution.

Cannot find the resorvoir for the power steering fluid

Many of these have a Electronic Power Steering Assembly. No fluid is required. If you are having a problem with it you have to take it in to your service center, there is nothing you can service at home.
