SOURCE: 2000 sunfire has p0336, p0340, p0130, where to

p0130 is an oxygen sensor code.
p0340 is your camshaft position sensor code
p0336 is your crankshaft position sensor code

as far as the p0130 code those usually are what i call neglected sensors that do not get replaced when they should be. this sensor is expensive but worth the money as it will help on fuel mileage.

on to the camshaft position sensor, i would start here with this. replace that sensor and when you are replacing it, inspect the sensor and make sure the electrical wires going into it are in good shape. after replacing those 2 sensors, go to a parts store who can erase your codes to turn the light off and then let us know if it comes back on and then we will go from there on the repair.

Who replaced the sensor ? You or a repair shop ? The DTC P0336 does not say to replace a sensor . You do not have access to the diagnostic trouble code diagnostic's . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop .

Difficult taking old CPS out of 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee.Tried for and half hour. It twisted but want come out.

No symptoms posted. just how to turn a bolt. ok.
id not attempt to force it out, unless new one in pocket
right? if you break it you are DIP, dead in pavement.

if the scan tool says its good, why do that. really?
P0336? or P0340/1? why not just say the DTC does,
the ECU reports even 1 drop in 10, so did it?
most are good, but getting parts off rusty engines can be very very hard.
which engine is there, why post with out first declaring engine.
3 engines they had. 4.0L , 4.7L and diesel..

try pen oil? penetrating oil, yet? soak wait, soak wait, pray, repeat.?
WJ jeep
CKP (old SAE name CPS)
using correct name allows searching in the FSM book more easy.
the crANK SENSOR. p1690"S Use real scan tool?
p0320'S

the 4L is on bell housing top. seen below.
the 4.7 liter is above. the starter.
