I think you should check your timing again, check the firing order of the distributor and if they are with there corresponding spark plug. Did you mark the connector or label them before disassembling. Maybe u left the timing in exhaust instead of compression

Its possible that your timing is off since you removed the head and distributor cap, and probably the timing belt. The camshaft, crankshaft and distributor need to be aligned exactly right relative to each other for the timing to be correct. The engine will not start if everythings not aligned right.
Are you sure that you set the timing correctly after you reinstalled the cylinder head?

You need a motor. If it overheated and stalled as a result than you cooked the engine.

ok... the large "hose that goes between the air filter and the intake manifold, it is easy to take off with just a screwdriver. take off the end closest to the intake. spray some starting fluid in there and turn the key. this has worked for me in the past. you may have to do it more than once. sometimes these things can be stubborn. post how it goes. good luck !
