SOURCE: Nissan Altima Water Leak

as a former certified nissan service advisor, i would say that if it has a parts defect then there is no way that it will nat be covered under warranty. I have seen the sunroof drain on several cars be kinked at the lower end near the kick panel. try opening the sunroof and pouring a small amount of water in the drain hole at the corner of the opening. Also, i have seen where the insulation for the door wiring harness soaks up water then spills out onto the carpet. as long as you are under the 36k mile mark and have not been in an accident, then this is absolutely a warranty repair. if th dealer will not fix it then try another dealer or ask for the regional service rep.

SOURCE: i think my water pump is leaking on my 98 nissan altima

Very possible. The water pump will be run by the timing belt behind the engine cover and on the same side of the motor as all your external belts. Make sure there are no hoses close by that could be leaking and if not it will probly be the water pump. Usually they will make a noise when they are failing. Remeber if it is just a drip and it is hot outside if you run your air conditioning it will drip water from the condenser as well.

Water leaking from right side of Altima its not air condition water pump its dripping off a silver thing behind the wheelcould it be my

Could be just your windshield fluid container leaking, which you should not worry about, check container and see if it is low and put a mark on level and see if it goes below,Your pump is connected to container and it may be leaking there, look and see.

How to replace coolant for nissan altima 2006

Park the Nissan Altima on a flat surface and set the parking brake. Next, open the hood and check the external temperature of the radiator. If the radiator is warm to the touch, wait for the radiator to cool before you continue.

Twist the radiator cap one turn to relieve any pressure. Step back from the radiator and allow a few seconds to pass, and then completely remove the radiator cap.

Place a bucket or tray with at least a 2-gallon capacity underneath the radiator and below the drain plug. The drain plug on a Nissan Altima is on the passenger side bottom of the radiator.

Loosen the drain plug and let the old coolant drain completely into the bucket. Take care while loosening the drain plug, because it's plastic and can be brittle. Pour the old coolant into a sealable container for proper disposal later and put the bucket back under the drain plug opening.

Close the drain plug and pour distilled water into the radiator until it's full. Then, open the drain plug and let the water flow into the bucket. Keep repeating this procedure until the water runs clear and debris free into the bucket. You will need at least 3 gallons of distilled water.

Make sure to tighten the drain plug and fill the radiator with fresh coolant. Refill the radiator to within an inch of it overflowing. Check the drain plug and hoses for any possible leaks.

Start the Nissan Altima and turn the heater to the high setting. Let it run for about 10 minutes and shut the engine off. Check the coolant level and refill, if necessary. Finally, put the radiator cap on and close the hood.

Location of oil filter on Nissan Altima 2005

The oil filter is located behind the right (passenger) inner fender cover. It is right next to the crankshaft pulley at the bottom of the front of the engine facing toward the right front wheel. I do not have a picture at this time.

Hope this is helpful!
