Rear window defroster not working

Your Monte Carlo uses the rear defogger grid as a radio antenna but the two circuits are not supposed to interact. The defogger circuit receives power input from several sources, including the A/C CRUISE FUSE in the left I/P junction block, the load management control circuit in the BCM, and the RT IP 3 FUSE in the bottom of the underhood junction block so you can see how the current drain of the defogger could affect dash illumination and engine idle.

With regard to your driver's side seat heater issue, it draws power through the LH HTD ST/BCM fuse but the problem could be a defective switch, relay, or the heating elements themselves.

Cant locate the fuse for my keyless entry in my 2005 chevrolet impala

The remote control door lock receiver gets power from the 10A DIC/RKE fuse in the right instrument panel junction block (IPJB). Serial data output is applied to the body control module so if you continue to have a problem, go to the left IPJB and check the 10A CLSTR/BCM fuse, the 10A PCM/BCM/CLSTR fuse, the 20A DR LK fuse, the 15A LH HTD ST/BCM fuse, the 10A STOP fuse, and the 10A BCM fuse.

I need to know which fuse is for the heated seats for my Chevy Tahoe which is a 2001 model. thank you

The fuse for the heated seats is located in one of the two fuse panels inside the vehicle. Below is a discription of the location of the fuse panel you need to find the fuse as well as a diagram of the fuse layout. The fuse that you want to check will be the fuse marked "HTD ST". This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you do not and would like a copy, you can email me at with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. No worries, no cost for it. I hope this helps and good luck.

06 silverado replace driverside mirror power htd 4x4 ls

Pull off the small triangular trim piece on the inside of the door behind the mirror. It is fastened with 3 quick connects that pop out. I won't break, but just be easy with it. After that, there are 3 nuts to remove and a wiring connector to disconnect. Reverse for reassembly.

The driver seat heater just quit. all fuses are good. how do you tell if the relay is good?

Swap it with a relay you know to be good and see if it works again, pick a relay that is not important to the function of your car.
