The turbo pressure sensor is located in the inlet manifold. Check the wiring, clean the map sensor (pressure sensor), if still have the problem replace the sensor. They are not expensive.

I have a 98 suburban 6.5 turbo diesel it has an intermittent issue of lack of power and lots of black smoke engine and turbo have been rebuilt a new diesel pump just installed as fault codes came up with...

replace the boost sensor its about $60 that will clear the PO236 codes (i beleive that was the code)
Duralast part # is su129 and has a lifetime warranty. located under the "turbo power" engine cover if you havent removed that yet take it off and leave it off reduces heat
sounds like your vacuum pump is bad remove it, buy a 99.5" serpentine belt and do a mechanical wastegate. adjust the spring to the boost you want. good luck

ENGINE CODE PO237 BOOST SENSOR LOW INPUT

Yes, the code PO237 is Turbocharger Boost Sensor (A) Circ Low Input. Most of the time it is a faulty sensor. Replace the boost pressure sensor for the trubo and clear codes.
I hope this helps.

2359 is for high or low boost....more than likely it is the turbo resonator or the charge air hose to the intake has a split in it
