Clutch pedal switch wiring diagram

You don't need the clutch switch. You need an ignition switch. A part in the switch is stuck on the start position, even though the key moves.

Just bought a 1996 jeep Cherokee didnt get it a mile then a noise no clutch.the cable didnt break just the bracket that holds the cable to please

Here's a link to one of many parts places, complete with a diagram you can use to identify and order the broken part. There are several components to the clutch pedal unit. Study this diagram and see if you can identify the broken piece. Then you can order it, and either take it to a trusted mechanic or do it yourself. Your local auto parts store can order as well.

I need a diagram for clutch linkage for 1966 chevy impala

Its pretty simple set up, you go from the pedal assembly to the rod in the back down to the frame rocker, the linkage from the frame rocker to the clutch fork, you will also have a return spring there

Starter on truck is not starting truck

There are safety switches on the brake pedal lever(automatic) or clutch pedal lever(stick) depending on year. What usually happens is that your feet bump or break the switch and you lose the starter pulse. This switch is suppose to prevent "runaway" vehicles by insuring that your foot is on the brake pedal or clutch when you use the starter. Look under the drivers dash on the brake or clutch lever.

There can also be another switch on some models that is for safety and insures the gearshift is in Park. Finally, some ignition switches have adjustments where they attach to the steering column. The ignition switch has slots which allow the adjustment.

The loss of your signal to the starter relay can be verified by using a Voltmeter on the small wire of the starter relay, then backtrace the above switches to restore the signal.

Diagrams are on the Web by doing a search specific for the year, make, and model followed by which part you want to find. (example -fusepanel or powerbox)

Is there a diagram of where the clutch return spring is on a 2008 Hyundia Santa Fe?

The clutch don't have spring to return. hydraulic pressure return the pedal. if you pedal go down to the flour and don't return you lost the pressure. First look in the reservoir for fluid. add DOT3 brake fluid and bleed the system. inspect for leak
Good luck

Clutch pedal diagram

go to the wreckers and get all the parts out of a manual cab the same as yours . You will need a clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder as well as the piping from one to the other ( get new master/ slave cylinder as it will reduce the possibility of hydraulic problems . If it is going to be a cable clutch then get everything associated with a cable including the correct throw out lever in the bell housing.

The car isn't reading that the clutch is down while trying to start the car. I think there is a way to by pass that but can't find a wire diagram to find the clutch wire.

The switch is right behind the clutch pedal, only has two wires.Inexpensive part, easy to replace, but connecting those two wires will bypass it.

Broken clutch pedal

The shaft attached to the pedal connects to a device that changes the forward motion of the pedal to a backward motion to the clutch. These shafts are attached with cotter pins and you might be lucky and simply broke one. Check this site for how a clutch works:

Reattaching the shafts with new cotter pins isn't hard. But if one is broken, you have to get a replacement. Try a junk yard, it's cheaper.
