Question about 2006 Scion tC
I was picking daughter up at school, parked, rolled windows down. She got in, I turned key and the alarm went off. I stopped the alarm by hitting unlock on key then tried to start car and dash lights came on but car sounded like it was struggling then the alarm came on again. Doors locked and the cycle repeated over and over. It is sitting at the school. Took battery out to have tested tomorrow but my gut is saying this may not be the issue (although corrosion has been building up on cables for three yesrs) I did clean them. I have had the car since 2007 it has 84K miles and has been great until this. Any suggestions>
May be the battery, since all the components work off of it you need to check all connections, low battery, batterys are only good , if you have a 3 yr old battery, it is only going to be good for 3 yrs, or less, depends on how long it set on the shelf.

SOURCE: Alarm keeps going off, tonight
if your having emergecy need it stopped quick! cut the wires going to your siren..then tape them to prevent short circuit..or if you can locate the system fuse, pull it out, AND disconnect battery so not to have it go dead,,,,,,,,,good luck marty

you have a red top thats the problem
read the lit on the battery they are not designed for your uses
if you want a battery that can take abuse put in a deep cycle or a reg led acid but the sealed gell cells are not designed for under hood use in the long term look at the charging cycle required on the owners manule it it self is a pain in the ***
