1994 cadillac deville no crank

1994 cadillac deville, won't start, just clicks and clicks and clicks, the engine is not seized up, I can turn it by hand, but for whatever reason the starter won't start it, I've had the starter checked I put a new battery in it and I've even tried to jump it off and with no improvement, but the security light flashes/the rest are solid.

The PATS security system would prevent the engine from cranking if the system does not "see" the right chip in your key. If the system is working correctly, the light should go off after you turn the key switch on.
You should have power on the small starter wire when the key switch is in the start position.

    I put another starter in it and let some oil soak in the cylinders for a week and tried to start it again and now it turns over but too slow to start so I did a compression test with my snap on compression tester on every cylinder and cylinders read as follows 1-54psi 2-76psi 3-150psi 4-150psi 5-89psi 6-134psi 7-84psi 8-155psi so I\'m thinking that from sitting the rings have frozen up and are not allowing them to seal properly against the cylinder walls, thus not allowing it to start properly, but even if that\'s the case, it should turn over a lot faster than it is, even after sitting for two weeks with oil in the cylinders and a little sea foam after the oil drained out it still only does about 150rpms when trying to start, that\'s a rough estimate and honestly it\'s probably a over estimate, the fuel pump is bad and has been bad since the car was parked but even so, I manually pump fuel into it with a secondary pump and made sure the fuel rail has adequate fuel pressure and it still doesn\'t fire up, tried putting a little gas in the cylinders to help it but with no success, I\'m stumped as to why this car won\'t start, it was fine besides the pump being bad when it was parked. I tried to tell my grandmother to start this thing every week and let it run but I haven\'t lived here for a while and she\'s so old she forgets everything and now it\'s gone, I put fresh oil in it and inspected the oil in it previous to the change and the oil is normal besides being old, changed the plugs and has new battery, figured out that the security light does the same thing in my 96 till its been running for a second, but any help would be appreciated

    You'll probably need more cranking RPM for one thing. I would guess by the compression readings and your story, the cam bearings are dry as well as the valve guides. Even with oil in the crankcase, the amount of rust-sludge inside the engine is probably enough to drag it down. Bearing and valve tolerances are so tight, any rust or sludge would tear them up. You are probably right about the rings being froze to the pistons, and that probably won't get better even if the engine managed to start. You probably have sludge that has hardened between the rings and the grooves in the pistons, among other key places.

    We\'ll I had a 96 that started off the same way, wouldn\'t start and wouldn\'t start, then after letting it sit for a week with marvel oil in the cylinders it started off super slow and then finally cranked up, puffed black smoke for about 30 seconds and now I have no issues with it, I ran seafoam through the gas and oil and also did a seafoam treatment though the vaccuum brake line in an attempt to get rid of any deposits that had accumulated, and secondly, the one that won\'t start will not turn over any faster even with fresh oil in it, do you think if I pour some seafoam in there and turn it over a couple times as well as letting it sit for a week or so that it may free up some of the crud in the engine? It was running fine before it was parked and I know that a lot of stuff can happen to an engine that\'s not cranked regularly but I imagine that the one I got running again couldn\'t have been much better off than the white one. The white car is the one I can\'t start the green one is the one I got to run after letting sit for a week with oil in the cylinders

Try this procedure:
Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid's bendix gear or starting relay, Have someone bang on the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging the bendix gear..

sounds like jumped timing belt maybe chain ,no spark is my guess if it turns over and dont even make a pop noise..

try over riding the starter relay on the fender ,it has one there right?. dont go to a mechanic yet. the engine aint seized. if it doesnt have this relay then i would get the alternator tested. if you want to test it yourself it can be costly for the right equip. autozone usually tests for free. i dont know were you live so if theres not an autozone. let me know if you cant get it tested.

if the veh has been sitting and battery has been discharged expecially in freezing temps the battery will be ruined and will consume all amperage givin from jump veh set cables up and let charge for say 10 min with jump veh at high idle then retry starting if click is heard and no start check battery resistance connections at cables and retry

Pop the panel open.Check those Fuel pump Relay fuses under the hood by the front left tire.Replace the little 4 prong fuse.Mine started up after changed them.

1999 Cadillac some times starts and other times it just cranks and won't start for several weeks

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump, or a list of other things.

A person's 1994 Deville Cadillac won't start. The anti-theft light starts flashing. Even after he got it started, it would simply cut off.

not many engines have a low oil sensor so it is up to the driver to keep an eye on the oil light or check the level at least every other day
if you get a socket onto the harmonic balancer nut and try to turn it , that will indicate if the motor has seized or not
clicking starter solenoids indicate loose battery terminals , dirty terminals bad ground wire connections bad battery ( load test will check that)

I get in to my car then i try to crank it but it won't do nothing and i just got a new battery but everything else will come on.

Since you replaced your battery, do you hear any clicking when you try to start the car? If not, replace your Starter and Starter Solenoid. You also have a Starter Relay, but these relays don't go out that often.
