The system is designed so that with the trunk open it will not open the roof. If the trunk is fully closed and the trunk light is still on, then find the switch in the boot which operates the light. If you disconnect any wires you could disable the boot completely. Including security.

First, watch your fingers, this can be hazardous. You may only need an adjustment in the mating surface of the latch. If you have an automatic pull-down feature on the lock, then more care will be needed to adjust this.
Because of the linkage inside the door, and electric connections, you most likely will need to remove the decorative doorlid panel. There can be conceled bolts if everything is not held together by plastic snaps.
But for the striker plate assembly in the bottom of the cargo frame opening, you may only find a big loop of metal with several bolts holding it in place. If any heavy object was recently raked across this fixture, then the adjustment may have been smashed out of alignment. You only need to reset this metal loop to provide for a tight latching fit.
Bet to check afterwards with a garden hose to see if the seal is tight.
An alternative repair shop could be a Glass shop. The procedure to replace a rear window inside the hatch depends on how it is hinged. A shop such as this could work on the latch. Also Collision shops would be very good for Body alignment issues involving latches.
I hope my solution is helpful.
