Question about Cars & Trucks
My cooling fans for my 1999 Oldsmobile Alero won't engage and the fuses and relays looks good but I can't find the actual plugins for the fans to work. Where are they located??
Cooling fans dont work could have faulty engine coolant temperature sensor or ECM.the coolant fans should turn on when engine coolant temperature reach 190 degrees or when you turn on AC. if coolant fans dont turn on when AC turned on your AC refrigerant low or empty which no refrigerant in system the AC low pressure switch remain open no refrigerant in AC system the low pressure switch cant close circuit so they cooling fans will turn on. check see if you have any AC refrigerant in the system.

SOURCE: TOYOTA CAMRY 1990 COOLING SYSTEM
First use a test light and make sure you are getting voltage to the fan with the ignition key on and the ac selector in on position. If no voltage check fuse in fusebox or (in linefuse ), If fuses are good check the fan relay switch. If all are good check for broken wire or bad ground. If you are getting voltage to the fan motor or the test light lights up then chances are you have a bad fan motor.
