If you are a DIY, you will need sooner or later a Repair Manual.
If you are in a hurry, most Autoparts stores cary them.
or try filepeep.com if they have it. or manualslib.com

What is the "right way" to adjust rear toe/alignment

take it to a shop that does alignments and get it inspected, sometimes an experanced eye will see something you might not. then have a 4 wheel alignment done. this is the only right way to do this.

How do you adjust rear end toe

replace anything that was bent and then have the rear end alignment done at a wheel alignment specialist shop
any specialist shop when doing a front alignment should always check the rear first as it controls the accuracy of the front job

This would be an easy question answered by a Mazda dealer. Call the parts department. Most parts stores could answer this for you as well.

Hi Adam

Have you also replaced the sway bar bushes? Also check the lateral member that runs from the FRONT of the the vehicle to the REAR of the subframe. It supports the front engine and transmission mount. The front two bolts have a metal bush inside of a rubber isolater. Undo then retighten these and the rear mount bolt up to torque. In saying that while its up on ramps start from the front and tighten every nut, bolt and screw right to the rear of the vehicle.
Also check, believe it or not, the front seat bolts. I had a persistent rattle in what I thought was the exhaust system, only to discover that all of the front seat bolts were only finger tight.
