I think what you mean is flywheel, and the teeth on it are what your starter grabs to turn the motor which in turn starts the vehicle. Your ignition switch which is by your key is what kills the motor though.

1988 chevy pick up 5.7 some times when I turn the key it wont start I have to turn the fly wheel a inch or so for it to start any I dear what it might be

There are teeth on the fly wheel and you may have broken one or more teeth. You may have to replace the fly wheel. When you turn the fly wheel by hand you make the good teeth so the starter will work.

I have a 2003 150 Yamaha four stroke. Starter engages but will not turn fly wheel. Can turn fly wheel by hand and have new battery

Either the starter isn't engaging the flywheel or the flywheel is chewed up/missing part or all the teeth/gears.

How do you find a flies nest?

Fly spray the flies and see where the rest are hanging around. Some food somewhere in your house that has gone bad is a probable cause or a dead animal under the house or in the walls .

NO GEARS WORKING

need more info...if you can turn easily ,sounds like you have no compression in engine..pull a plug and test for compression ..you may have washed down cylinder walls with too much fuel and lost compression....if so, you pull all plugs and squirt several sprays of motor oil into each cylinder and turn over to re-build compression........also if you jumped your timing chain, the valves would be open when they should be closed causing no compression, I would need more info on what its doing
