1981 F-100. Where is the orifice tube located?

In the tubing in the engine compartment right before it goes into the cab. You will see the tubing reduce in size that is where your orifice tube should go.

Where is the orifice tube located on a 1990 Mercury cougar ls

Orifice translates to, "opening" and is a modifying word. For example: nasal orifice is a nostril. I don't know the context you are using this term for but an orifice tube refers to a tube's opening. If oil, maybe the one that the dip stick goes in; transmission same thing, intake- the carburetor or filter passages. Hope this helps.

Where is the orifice tube on an expedition 2001 with dual ac

On most any Ford vehicle, the orifice tube is hidden directly in the pressure line just before it goes into the evaporator core (the little radiator looking device hidden underneath your dash). There should be a quick disconnect where the lines go together by the accumulator. The orifice tube will be wedged in the aluminum line. If you look closely, you will actually be able to see an indentation in the aluminum line that prevents the orifice tube from slipping too far into the aluminum line. The orifice tube on a Ford almost ALWAYS requires the use of an orifice tube removal tool. Hope this helps.

Where is the orifice tube located??

The Fixed Orifice Tube is located in the high pressure inlet to the AC evaporator core on the firewall, the high pressure side is the side with the small hose from the compressor. Below is a picture of the Evaporator core, note the two holes, the Fixed Orifice Tube goes in the smaller of the two holes.

It should be in the ac line going to the firewall, the small ac line, look right where the connection is,either a quick disconnect,or a nut, most likely a quick disconnect, there is a swelled place where the orifice tube goes, use a needle nose plier to remove and install the orifice tube,If this was at all helpful, please rate.

Where is the orifice tube on a 98 Buick LeSabre located?

not exactly sure but using info below you can find it.

Remember the flow for the a/c system is :
1. From the compressor a high pressure (HP) gas goes to the condenser in front of the radiator.
2. From the condenser a HP liquid goes to an expansion device (orifice tube or expansion valve)
3. From expansion device the low pressure gas enters the firewall to the evaporator.
4. From evaporator the low pressure liquid/gas mixture goes through the dryer2_bing.gif back to the compressor suction.

There will be about a 1" nut on the low pressure line between the firewall and the compressor. Remove nut and on the male side use a pair of kneedle nose pliers and remove orifice tube. Note orientation of tube.

Replace tube, reassemble, evacuate air from system, recharge with freon.

Orifice Tube for 2000 Impala

Does it have crimp marks on the tube about 3 inches from the fitting? If so,that's where the orifice tube is.Most of the time, you simply disconnect the fitting, pull out the orifice tube & install a new one.Tip:if it has a lot of black junk on it,flush the system or you will end up having the same problem again very soon.Good luck,
