Brake light trouble right side brake light will not come on but both flashers work also turn signals work older ford truck what could the problem

I have to think the problem is inside the turn signal switch, a poor internal connection. You know the brake signal first goes through the turn switch before it goes to the bulbs. That is why the brake lights and rear turn signal lights share the same filament in the bulb, and the same wire going to those lights. The only difference is the turning side light is affected by the turn signal flasher, causing blinking, while the other side- the non turning side-does not go through the flasher relay, but straight to the bulb from the turn signal switch. Change your turn signal switch and I believe you will solve the problem. Let me know, okay?

I have a 1998 gmc sonoma my brake Lights dont work but everything else does except the right blinker changed bulbs didn't help

Check brake light fuse first. If ok, the brake light switch at the brake pedal may be defective. Try wiggling the switch to see if the brake lights work. If not, disconnect the wiring connecter and if it is just 2 wires cross them over and see if the brake lights come on. If they do, the brake light switch is bad. If wiggling the switch makes the brake lights work, I would suggest a brake light switch as well

Infinity QX4 Cruise Control Light Flashes but won't set

All of these responses are surely possibilities but I believe the brake control switch is out of adjustment. A simple look up of how to adjust the position on the switch should solve this issue. It is also possible the switch is broken as everything these days seem to be made of plastic. - - Good luck!

Brake light and chiming noise won't turn off

first check to see if you have enough brake fluid in the resevor and that you don't have a leak somewhere. If not you might be able to have a code reader pull the brake codes. If anti lock brakes it might be as simple as changing a sensor. If everything is checking out disconnect the positive battery cable for 10 minutes, this should clear the brake light. As for the chiming you will have to dig around under the dash to find the little noise maker and then unplug it. I just had to do it to my car and truck.

My battery was stolen out my car well when they stole it they cutt the power wire off well replaced that and i had to change the maga fuse and now everything work except the turn signals the flashers work...

Sorry to hear about your thief... You are correct in suspecting the multi function switch or turn signal switch. If you are confident that you have all the wiring repaired under the hood.. then I believe you are looking in the right direction. Also see if you have brake lights.. this is another system when that switch fails...

Best of Luck...

I have a 1990 buick skylark and everytime i start the car or press the brake the fuse blows and as a result all of the lights go out except for the head lights. help me please

Try taking all the bulbs out in the back and see if it still blows. If it does its in the wiring somewhere or possibly the brake switch itself. I am suggesting the bulbs or sockets as the culprit because it is also affecting you running light circuit. Lee

Chevy S10. When my running lights are on everything works (except turn signals), front lights, tail lights brake lights. When I turn on my headlights turn signals still dont work everything comes on fine...

Check the grounds on your wiring.
If you have a trailer harness, make sure there are no shorts, or crusty connections

Good Luck chasing the gremlins

Brake lights dont work

there should be a little sensor somewhere behind the brake pedal at the top, if you have checked everything else, try replacing this. (easy job)

No brake lights

you need to check for power and ground at the bulb sockets.
may have a broken wire/ corroded connector somewhere.
