Is 1.8lt mazda bongo efi sohc 1789cc motor a free runner if timing belt breaks

Most cars are free-runners if the timing belt/gear breaks, except if the vehicle has automatic transmission. Auto transmission vehicles should have the drive wheels lifted during towing. NB! Only transport a "permanent" four wheel drive vehicle on a flat bed vehicle carrier.

When breaking, my break pedal begins to pulsate when stopping. Also, the steering wheel begins to shake when breaking.

Usually a sign one of the front brake rotors is out of round. It could also be something wrong with the abs but I doubt it.

Seat belt won't retack to drive position

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you pull the seat belt a little harder This can help the metal ball on the mechanism to break loose. If it breaks loose the seat belt will surely retract. If it doesn't help then I believe that the seat belt reached it's break point and will surely need replacement.

Hope you find this information helpful enough and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

What happens when serpentine belt goes bad

When a serp belt breaks you loose all power steering. water pump is not operating so car will run hot. battery light would come on because alternator is not working. You would basically loose anything that worked off the drive belt. You would also loose air conditioning.

Bad battery and transmission won't run, just revs

Check the transmission fluid level. If it is low, the transmission will not shift at all. And also check the belts. the belt may be slipping, and not allowing the alternator to carge the battery. If the belts are not slipping, then take the alternator to an autozone, and have them test it. Also, if the van has been sitting for a long time, the brakes will sieze. That may also be why the van won't move. how to break them loose is to put the van in reverse and stomp the accelerator. then if that doesn't work, do it in drive. it should loosen them. either that, or take the jack, and raise one wheel at a time, and get a sledge hammer and a piece of wood. Place the piece of wood over the center of the wheel, and hit it hard with the hammer. This may also jar it loose.
