check ecm fuse..not sure where your ecm is but if its by the battery..check for battery acid on ecm wires or it might be the ecm it self...make sure you gettig fuel..spray some starting fluid into intake..thats one sure way of knowing its not a fuel problem,,must ecm goes for less than a 100.00 try ebay for reman unit spare ecm is one company..one other thing..did you check your ignition switch??

ECM switches from closed loop to open loop at idle after warmup

WHEN ENGINE GOES CLOSED LOOP TO OPEN LOOP.YOU HAVE A RICH FUEL MIXTURE.YOU HAVE A VACUUM LEAK.BY YOU HAVING ROUGH IDLING.AND A HIGH MILEAGE ENGINE I WOULD DO A COMPRESSION TEST OR CYLINDER LEAK DOWN. CHECK FOR LEAKING VALVES AND LOW COMPRESSION .THEY BOTH WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO IDLE ROUGH CAUSE MISFIRE.CAUSE OPEN LOOP CONTAMINATE HO2 SENSOR CAUSE A RICH FUEL MIXTURE.

Can not read ecm code for emission check in GA

Normally if you can't get a reading from the ecm the ecm is dead, and goes to default mode meaning it will run ok but is at base timing and won't kick in to closed loop having the 02 sensor controlling fuel and timing, they did this because if the past if the ecm failed the car was a pull toy so you sat on the side of the road so the ecm could be bad. You could have someone do a pin out on the ecm but it would take more time than it would cost to replace the ecm.

Where is the PCM located on a 1991 Oldsmobile 98 Regency elite?

The PCMor powertrain control module is only on 1996 and newer cars.Earlier models have a ECM or electronic control module/pcm.You want to change the ECM if its a 1992.Its located under the right hand side of the instrument panel. The ecm has a prom( programmable read only memory)in it.You will need to remove this from the old ecm and install in the new ecm.The ECM/PCM can be used in many different GM vehicles but the prom is very specific and must be used only in the vehicle it was designed. The prom will not come with the new ecm and must be carefully removed and installed on the new ecm. There also is a CALPAK in the ECM ( A devise for fuel delivery) This may come with the new ECM But make sure all parts are the same. You should get a vehicle repair manual to do this job correctly, and make sure you do not damage your PROM.Your PROM is very IMPORTANT!

2000 2 door accent removed airbag fuse (mistake) when replaced the dash warning light for Airbag now stays on it flashes as normal when vehicle started but then is steady on

you have to reset the ecm code , when you removed the fuse the ecm registered this as a loss of voltage and threw a code so now it doesn't know that the fuse has been replaced. you need a scan tool to reset the ecm...please rate the solution...thanks
