Delta 88 5L 307 ECM not working

The ECM is functioning but the problem is the way the data is being communicated to the scanner. There are several different procedures to follow when reading scanners so ensure that your connecting cables are right for you ECM and scanner.

Ecu box passat

ecm goes bad it will go in limp mode, vechicle will run poorly check engine light will stay on vechicle wont need to use a code scanner check for ecm fault code, if check engine light not turning on when you start vechicle could have blowed ecm fuse or wiring problem, could have loose connection at ecm electrical connector or ecm getting poor ground but first check for a defective ecm using a code scanner.

Where is the computer located on a Dodge B3500 so I can hook up my diagnostic equipment?

There should be a connection point at the fuse box under the hood or under the dashboard to connect Diagnostic computers to. You don't have to actually connect directly to the ECM.

Hi, the "check engine light" on my 1999 silverado is on but when i plug the codes can't be read from the device that plugs into the module, the fuses are not burnt out so it appears to be a problem with...

dont expect the ecm to be the problem. a good scanner will access the codes. Let me know the codes after you have them read. Autozone offers free scan service. Dont trust there diagnostic skills just get the codes and leave. Before replaceing ecm wireing should be checked

I have a 2002 mercury villager that will not communicate. It seems to be running ok but I can tell that it is not efficient as it use to be. The check engine light is on.

If you can not get a code scanner to work, it has a blown fuse. The diagnostic port shares the fuse with the cigarette lighter and is usually a 15 amp fuse. It is a common problem.

Engine light came on and now power windows won't work

Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Research of the wiring diagrams indicate there is no relationship/connection between the Check Engine light (Engine Management System - EMS) and the Power Windows circuit. Check all your fuses (Passenger compartment) fuses 16 & 20 & fusible link (30 amp) supply power to the power windows (as well as to Stop lamp switch(cruise), head lamp, A/C relay.
