Yes you do the fuel and ignition timing is controled by that sensor and if it set in there wrong the car will not run very well.They may give you a plastic tool to set the sensor in but every one that has been set in by that tool has been wrong.In order to get that sensor put in correct you need get the tool that you can rent from most of your good auto parts stores.

SOURCE: Where is the PCV valve
it's kind of hidden- left side of vehicle, on left side of rear valve cover.
