Take it to a muffler shop and have them inspect the exhaut system, the service is usually free.

Car not starting, oil in spark plugs. changed valve cover gasket and spark plug seals. still cant get the car to start. starter is turning engine turns over and getting spark. i can smell fuel coming from...

If you smell fuel in the exhaust the vehicle is flooding or there is no spark. If it is a carb engine, make sure that the choke is in and hold you foot flat on the pedal while trying to start, this will clear any flooding.

I have a 2001 Alfa 147 selespeed, you have to keep your foot on the brake or accelerator otherwise it goes to neutral immediately. Is this normal it my first tiptronic and i'm dumb! Please help.

this is a manual car with an electric clutch (no pedal)so if you dont have your foot on one of the pedals it will roll down the hill...this is infinitly more economical than a standard auto box.(fluid drive).and if you want you can change gears like a manual car, good eh....

Been having problem with brakes. I brake pad feels

Bleeding isnt going to help a hard pedal. If the pedal is mushy, and there is no air, the Master cylinder could be bad. If the pedal is HARD, there is no air. Press on the brake pedal several times with the engine off (5-6 times) now hold your foot on the pedal and start the engine, you should feel the pedal slightly give way under your foot. If you dont, and have a HARD pedal, the brake booster could be bad, but have professionals check it out before spending any money.

Loud clicking noise and black smoke...

Seems like an injector and valves. Check if all injectors are giving same pressure, none leaking or damaged, the injector pump working fine and all filter in the pump are clean (yes there are small filters inside under every electro-sensor), get valves gaps checked and adjusted. at this kind of mileage its a must.

96 GC Orvis-Severe vibration in Idle.

Before you go changing the idle motor, clean the throttle body out with a spray cleaner and make sure you get into the idle speed motor orifice. Spray the cleaner into the throttle body with the engine off, do'nt be afraid to use it all then let it sit awhile. When you try to start the car it might not want to start, just keep your foot all the way down on the gas pedal and as it starts and clears up just release the pedal slowly. If the car smokes out of the exhaust, thats normal. Hope this works.
