SOURCE: i cant find the transmission

I ll try again. the dipstick is under the air filter housing -driver side front.

Just loosen the clamp around the air hose attached to the carbureter, pull housing slightly towards you and lift up.

Also, to check the codes on your car, turn the ignition on, (not running), and push the off button and the warmer button on the climate control section. the codes will appear in the information display by the speedometer.

SOURCE: Where is dipstick for transmission on Cadillac

Not quite sure of the color of the ring on the dipstick but below is a picture of underneath the hood. The dipstick for the transmission fluid is the one marked "F" and I even gave you an arrow pointing to it. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you do not have an owners manual and would like a copy, you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make, model and year. I will be happy to email you a copy at no cost to you. I hope this helps and good luck.

Tranny fluid. Your owners manual says you should never need to check it, unless you have a leak. I agree with Gene.

Transmission dipstick location

Check your owners or a service manual (or just call a Cadillac dealer, ask for the service department, and ask).

There are a number of newer automatic transmissions that no longer have a "dipstick" and are sealed units. These must be checked/serviced by the dealer or a transmission specialist. I don't know if your vehicle has one of these, but would not be surprised to find it does.

What does the dipstick on my 2003 escalade look like

The Transmission Dipstick is located on the passenger side towards the center of the engine compartment near the firewall. It is most likely yellow. You can fid a photo of its location here:

The other day my car would not go in reverse i drove it and later it worked fine

congratulations...you've got a BMW with a GM 4L30 transmission. Same transmission they put in a Cadillac Catera.....no dipstick to tell where the fluid level is. So, BMW, in their infinite wisdom, labled the fluid, "lifetime" There's no such thing as lifetime lubricant for anything let alone a transmission. But BMW owners will believe anything the dealer tells them. Rots of Ruck.

Where is the fill hole for 2005 cadilac cts transmission

I am assuming that the transmission is an automatic. If so, the fill hole is the tube where the transmission dipstick is located. Simply remove the dipstick and using a funnel, slowly pour in the transmission fluid. Remember...do not overfill the transmission.
