Why is carpet damp or wet?

Sounds like the air conditioning evaporator/heater box has a blocked drain, when using a/c condensation will form on the evaporator, and should drain via hose externally...

The drain hose will run through the floor directly under where the a/c fan/evaporator box is located, you may have to remove some kick panels or part of dashboard to access the evaporator box to clean the drain hose....

I have a clogged ac drain line on my Mit Endevour 2004. I have read on other sites that it is located behind the barke line on the firewall but I can't find it . Help Please

hI!

The evaporator is the one that condensates, the evaporator is located inside the blower assembly in the passenger side of the engine compartment. Look for the two hoses coming from the AC ino the firewall, they connect to the evaporator, (the one that sweats) and the drain hose should be somewhere underneat.

I have seen cases in which the drain hose is gone, look for an 90 degree elbow pointing downwards.

A/c drain pulgged, leaking inside of truck and into carpet

mcdevito75 here, Water drains from your A/C evaporator, as the hot air hits the cool evaporator thru a rubber hose connected to the evaporator and leading thru either the firewall or even under the vehivle. Locate tis hose thru the firewall, it won"t be attached to anything, do not un- attach any rubber hoses you see. If you do find this hose just comming thru the firewall, run a piece of coat hanger thru it to un-cog. If you can Locate this rubber hose at the bottom of the evaporator under the dash, real close to the glove box.

Location of ac drain to try and stop wet floor board on 98 tj?

The problem is with the evaporator drain. There is a, (usually soft flexable), tube that drains condensation from the evaporator to the outside. It is located in the passenger compartment, under the dash. The hose has, (A)-became disconnected from the evaporator. (B)- Has gotten a kink in it. (C)-Became clogged, causing the evaporator to overflow into your passenger floorboard. Your vehicle probably has some covers over these components, you will likely have to remove. Locate the hose, it typically drains just behind and inside your right front wheel. It may be concealed behind a kick panel, or may go thru the floor or firewall. You must find it and follow it to the evaporator and make sure it is not clogged or kinked and is properly connected to the evaporator.

Water on floor

they drain inbetween the bulkhead of your car. no access is available to get to that. if the evaporator case is totally removed you can run a new hose for it although they are usually short in most cases for the bulkhead is totally sealed watertight
